| It is with great pleasure and pride that
we announce the |
|
|

| Whilst scoring the fourth highest average
score for rounds in which he participated - submitting
9 benches throughout the 10 rounds of FirstBench 2007
- his consistency has served him well.
All the entrants scores can be viewed on the FirstBench
2007 League Table.
Bench_ubbster took two Gold, one Silver, and
three Bronze ARSEs, giving him the largest collection
of trophies for 2007. And now he can add the much coveted
award for Benchist of the Year!
As well as a hand crafted plaque (see
below), Bench_ubbster
is presented with this elegant, hand printed certificate
on vellum (our calfs are reared, slaughtered, limed,
scudded and stretched by hand).
We are also delighted to announce that Bench_ubbster
has been appointed Global Ambassador of the Brotherhood
of the Bench with a seat at the United
Nations (The Order is
currently in advanced talks to replace the UN seat
with a bench of the ambassador's choice). Bench_ubbster
will represent the Brotherhood wherever he may find
himself during the next 12 months, and will promote
Benchism world wide!
For the next 13 moons Bench_ubbster will be known
by all as 'Master
of the Bench'.

Congratulations are also due to daft_bencher for taking
this years Silver award.
daft_bencher is the only benchist who submitted a
bench for every round of FirstBench 2007. In this
regard he is acknowledged, by the Brotherhood, as being the most
dedicated of Benchists and an asset to the Order.
We are also delighted to announce that daft_bencher
has been appointed Ambassador to the Court of St.
James. He will represent the Brotherhood of the
Bench throughout the
British Isles during the next 12 months.

Our Bronze award for Firstbench 2007 is
presented to benchaholic.
Benchaholic submitted eight benches during FirstBench
2007, one of which (June)
was the highest scoring bench for the year with 9.65
points.
Benchaholic has been appointed official representative
to the Duchy of Lancaster on behalf of the Brotherhood
of the Bench.
